Minecraft Villager Jobs: A Information Since 1.14 Village and Pillage, the villages in Minecraft have been completely changed. The entire system of trading and the item economy and the tasks that each villager does has been completely revamped. This is a complete guide on how to manage your villager's trades and the villagers. You should be able to identify the best method of obtaining the items that you need by the end. Let's get going! What are the Countless Villager Jobs available in Minecraft? There are currently 15 villager positions in Minecraft. This list contains all possible jobs that villagers could be employed in. If you're looking for a specific job, you'll have to place the job block which corresponds to the desired job next to the Unemployed Villager. The job assigned to the villager will determine what trades they will offer. If you don't have an unemployed Villager, you can demolish the job block that a villager is using. If you aren't able to get the desired trades from a villager you can break the job block and place it back down to reload their trades. The types of villagers in Minecraft Armorer - Offers armor and Chainmail. Blast Furnace Butcher is an employment block that provides the emeralds and cooked meat. Job Block: Smoker Cartographer - Provides maps as well as banner paterns. Job Block: Cartography Table Cleric - Offers magic items and even Bottle of Enchanting. Job Block: Brewing Stand Farmer - Offers advanced food items and even brewing supplies. Job Block: Composter Fisherman - Offers fishing and an amazing fishing rod. Job Block Barrel Fletcher offers bows, Flint, arrows, and even Tipped Arrows. Job Block: Fletching Table Leatherworker - Offers Leather Armor, Horse Armor, and even Saddles. Job Block: Cauldron Librarian Offers Enchanted Books, Name Tags and more Job Block: Lectern Mason Offers cut versions of bricks and blocks. Job Block: Stonecutter Nitwit - Offers nothing. It is basically useless. Job Block: N/A Shepherd - Offers a variety of colored wools and paintings. Job BLock: Loom Toolsmith - Offers tools of varying quality, even magical! Job Block: Smithing Table Unemployed Offers nothing, but can be employed. Job Block N/A Weaponsmith sells diamond and iron swords and axes, even enchanted! Grindstone is the job block Villager Appearance: Not only do the tasks of villager change based on their profession, but their appearance will be different in each biome. They maintain the traits specific to their job so that each job is distinct. For instance all Farmers wear a straw hat, and all Librarians have glasses. Trading Stock: As of 1.14, Mojang has introduced the lovely concept of 'Supply and demand.' This basically means that if you make an item trade too many times it will not only make the villager run out of stock in that particular item however, prices (amount of items or gemstones you have to give) will also increase in the event that the item is traded frequently. Trades can be made up to four times before stock runs out. Villagers will replenish their stock once a day. The cost of an item can decrease if it isn't traded. Unlocking Trades: When a trade is made between a villager and a player, both of them gain experience. As the villager's skill level increases, the next tier of trades can be unlocked. There are five levels of trades available to each villager, which unlocks better quality items. The level of the villager can be represented by a color-coded badge that is worn on their clothing. It can range from Novice (Stone) and Apprentice (Iron), Journeyman/Gold), Expert(Emerald) up to Master(Diamond). Wandering Trader This is somewhat different however there is a single villager who is completely different from the others. The Wandering Trader is a passive mob, just like the Villagers in general, but it randomly appears throughout the world with no pattern whatsoever. It has two leashed trading lamas that are similar to normal llamas but with a slight cosmetic change. Another distinctive feature of this Villager is the absence of trading levels. This means that the trades you've rolled with him will be yours forever. Don't worry, as his trades will be reset next time he appears. The trades provided by the Wandering Trader are regarded as generally obscure and difficult items to get. They are not particularly powerful or impressive however, they are nevertheless valuable. The Wandering Trader disappears within 40-60 minutes. Popularity: You are a certain level of the popularity of an player. Negative actions like attacking villages can reduce your popularity, whereas trading regularly or curing zombie villager are effective ways to boost the amount of popularity. Negative actions can raise prices, while positive actions can decrease them. Let's suppose that your village is spontaneously attacked by Illagers and you happen to happen to be in the area, and you successfully ward off the attack. Chilling and killing will be rewarded with the 'Hero of The Village' status effect, which will further lower trade prices (except for trades that cost 1 emerald.) These are the basic principles of Villager Jobs and trading in villages. Now you should be able manage that villager farm with ease! Mojang believes that it is necessary to take the carpet off the floor often and, for better or worse, trading can be a little more complex with Supply & Demand mechanics, along with popularity functions. You can make use of these features to greatly help you, or even ruin the trading economy on your Minecraft server. Chilling and killing hope this guide served you well. Best of luck and I wish you the best!
